QWEST MEDIA was created in October 2006 with a window open on the world.
QWEST MEDIA was born first of all from a passion for cinema, theater and literature. Thanks to its critical mind and its deep knowledge of world cinema of all eras, QWEST MEDIA recommend and advise on films but also to ensure the completion of the acquisition of films to its clients around the world.
QWEST MEDIA is also building and already distributes a catalogue of documentaries of all origins mostly treating social and political issues. Putting together very different backgrounds, their professional, personal and film-lover experiences, Alexia Fernandez and Franciane Abassan took up the challenge to create a production and distribution company. Through QWEST MEDIA they share a will to support and produce a quality cinema in Europe and throughout the world.
QWEST MEDIA is currently developing several productions:
- "Knulp" a feature film adapted from the novel by Hermann Hesse.
- "Glitter and Favelas - Samba Kids" a 90 minutes documentary
- Animation feature in development
